Richard Blyweiss is a passionate educator, dedicated coach, beloved mascot, and published author whose impact has resonated across classrooms, sports arenas, and communities alike. For three years, he proudly brought energy and spirit as Hooter the Owl, the official mascot of Temple University, and also served as both a lacrosse coach and mascot for the Philadelphia Wings. Over the course of fifteen years, Richard inspired countless students in social studies, math, and English, leaving a lasting impression through his creativity, enthusiasm, and unwavering support. Beyond the classroom, Richard used his talents as a mascot to bring joy to charity events, advocate for important causes, and uplift the spirits of sick and underprivileged children. His passion led him to create a student mascot club, where he mentored young performers and passed on his love for community engagement. He even authored a book chronicling his experiences and insights in this unique role. Widely admired and deeply respected, Richard remains a cherished figure among his students and peers |
