Isaiah D. Banks is a licensed associate professional counselor, mentor, author, content creator, and certified fitness trainer dedicated to serving his community and assisting individuals in need. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in disability studies from Shippensburg University, and a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Lock Haven University. His clinical experience encompasses working with both children and adults experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Isaiah has actively participated in public speaking engagements throughout Philadelphia, focusing on mental health, fitness, and masculinity. He has facilitated group sessions at SELF Inc, addressed audiences at Black Men’s Heal, and presented his research at numerous conferences, including the Minds @ Work conference at Shippensburg University, the CMHC Chicago School Conference, and the Lock Haven University Annual Clinical Mental Health Counseling Conference. Growing up in North Philadelphia, Isaiah observed the persistent cycle of broken families within the black community, along with the resultant pain and trauma. These experiences inspired him to become an agent of change, providing the support he wished he had received during his formative years. He is devoted to mentoring young people, understanding the importance of nurturing future generations. In his leisure time, Isaiah enjoys weightlifting, hiking, conducting research, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. |
