About Us:
The Golden Heart Group was founded in 1993 by Dr. Jana Mallis as an interfaith meditation group. The group branched out into community service and, in 1995, held the first Golden Heart Awards Banquet.
The Banquet is an event that honors the "unsung heroes" throughout out community. The honorees may be employees or volunteers and they come from all walks of life.
The dual purposes of the banquet are to inspire our community to follow in the footsteps of those who selflessly serve and to unite us all in a common bond of caring.
